Three things before reporting

Submit your report and evidence directly to the relevant authority.

  1. Organise the facts

Record when, where and what happened, with material you already have.

  2. Check authority & deadlines

Check the covered rules, reporting authority, application deadline and exclusions.

  3. Report & follow up

Keep the receipt number and follow the authority’s award and document instructions.

Common questions

How do rewards, compensation and relief differ?

Depending on the scheme, rewards recognise public benefit, compensation relates to outcomes such as recovered public funds, and relief helps with harm or costs from reporting. Check each scheme separately.

Can an anonymous reporter receive an award?

Anonymous reporting and award eligibility are separate questions. Some schemes require verified identity; check with the authority before reporting.

Are local reward rules the same everywhere?

No. Ordinances, budgets, application periods and limits vary. The Gyeonggi and Bucheon entries are regional examples. Check notices from your own local authority.
